As part of its efforts to support climate actions in Africa and generate evidence for the COP processes, SARW organises various dialogues and engagements with civil society, businesses, and governance. These activities aim to inform Africa’s stance on critical minerals and the energy transition. During the Africa Climate Summit in Kenya, SARW hosted a strategic meeting to advance its work on critical minerals and energy transition. The Meeting on Climate Change Action, Critical Minerals, and Energy Transition in Africa was pivotal in advancing SARW’s approach to challenges at the intersection of climate change, minerals, and energy. It emphasised the importance of unified action, informed policymaking, and responsible resource management.
