The Regional Consultation on Civic Participation in Oil and Gas Advocacy is a one-day in-person workshop will reflect on advocacy (incorporate training on safeguarding human rights and movement building, including on Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation (SLAPPs). The Oil, Gas And The Energy Transition Workshop is a two-day, in-person convening organised by Southern Africa Resource Watch (SARW) as part of its hydrocarbon and energy transition initiative. The workshop aims to provide a structured, forward-looking platform for policy dialogue on Southern Africa’s transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy systems, in the context of the global consensus to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius.
