At Whose Cost?

Filmed over the course of 2026, “At Whose Cost?” highlights the effects of mining on communities across South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe and DRC through the eyes and testimonies of the women who have been affected.

Posing the central question, “At Whose Cost?”, the documentary challenges the idea that mining brings prosperity to the communities it effects, instead bringing transparency to the problems it has caused as women from each country recount how their lives have been impacted by the large-scale mining happening on their land.
