Civil Society Africa Mining Vision Conference Recommendations
African Civil Society organisations working in the mining sector met from October 23 to 25 in Johannesburg to assess progress made by countries towards the implementation of the Africa Mining Vision (AMV), an agreed development framework to transform the management of the continent‘s diverse and abundant mineral resources in the past decade by all interested stakeholders. Progress reviews of the implementation of the AMV ensures the vision is kept alive and contributes towards its promotion, implementation and actualisation by African governments. This report, compiled by the Southern Africa Resource Watch, contains recommendations of the review meeting.
